Bahang dan kehangatan amat terasa di dewan auditorium NTUC semalam...semua kumpulan diharuskan hadir pada 12 tengahari...tapi ada satu kumpulan yang lambat..kumpulan itu juga yang semasa hari pengundian dapat tempat pertama untuk membuat persembahan..kumpulan itu juga telah menyewa sebuah bas yang besar 40 seater..tapi sayang yang naik cuma segelintir sahaja..i dunno wat to say..benda dah lepas but seriously tak leh simpan jer kan nanti naik darah sendiri pulak...!! hopefully next time we can go and back as a group...!!

congrats to all winners..it was a hard fight..most of the group really show their BELANG and TARING..ada main concept joget..musical..ala-ala LATIN pun ada..ada jugak yang masih memperjuangkan seni dikir asli..bak kata semua dgn cara,kekuatan dan keunikan sendiri..mereka yang tidak berjaya juga adalah pemenang..8 kumpulan terhebat di peringkat akhir pertandingan peringkat kebangsaan..Mega Perdana 2008 all of u are WINNERS...!!!!

CHINGAY 2009

Some background information about Chingay 2009:

Chingay Parade 2009

Background

The overall theme for Chingay Parade 2009 will be Wonderland Singapore. There will be a total of 7 performing segments and they are mainly: Grandest Opening Item and Chingay Fiesta 1 @ Wonderland; Creative Communities @ Wonderland; Best of the World 1 @ Wonderland; Best of the World 2 @ Wonderland; Ethnic Culture @ Wonderland; Youth @ Wonderland; and Grand Finale. The Parade route will commence from City Hall Front to Connaught Drive to Raffles Ave and will end at Marina Square. The PAYM Float is proposed to be in the Youth @ Wonderland segment and shall be the last float before the Grand Finale.

The Parade Preview will be held on Friday, 30 January 2009 from 8.30pm to 10.00pm, while the Actual Parade will be held on Saturday, 31 January 2009 from 8.00pm to 9.30pm.

DATE OF TRAINING

The tentative training schedule is as follows:

November 2008: 15th, 22nd & 29th

December 2008: 6th, 12th & 20th

January 2009: 3rd & 7th

Full Dress Rehearsal: 10th Jan 2009

Combined Rehearsals: 14th, 15th & 16th Jan 2009

Chingay Preview: 30th Jan 2009

Actual Chingay Parade: 31st Jan 2009(Please note that the tentative training dates are subjected to further confirmation)

All registered participants shall each receive a training t-shirt, a cap, an allowance for each training session attended and a Certificate of Appreciation. Halal meals will also be provided at these training sessions.
